A sampling of the awards Morrissey & Company has won since it opened
its doors in February of 1999:
- A Gold Bulldog Award
- Morrissey & Company was honored with a Gold
Bulldog Award for Excellence for its work with WorldStreet Corporation
on a campaign titled "Peer-to-Peer for Business" in the Investment,
Banking & Financial Services category. The annual Bulldog Awards
recognize the ability to influence public opinion through the media
and
are judged by a panel of journalists and public relations professionals
based on creativity, originality, strategy, fast thinking and results.
- A Gold SABRE Award
- Morrissey & Company won a Gold SABRE (Superior
Achievement in Branding and Reputation) award in the Investor
Relations/IPO category for "Tellium's IPO." Morrissey &
Company worked
with Tellium (NASDAQ: TELM), provider of the world's first in-service
intelligent core optical switch, to successfully establish itself prior
to its 2001 initial public offering as a credible player in the
telecommunications industry through award recognition, significant media
coverage and more than 80 speaking engagements.
- Two Communicator Awards
of Distinction - Morrissey & Company was
recognized for its work with Covansys Corporation, (NASDAQ: CVNS), a
global consulting and technology services provider, in producing a
marketing brochure on offshore IT service delivery in the
Writing/Brochure category. In addition, the 2001 annual report that
Morrissey & Company produced for Boston Private Financial Holdings
(Nasdaq: BPFH), a wealth management company, received an Award of
Distinction in the Corporate Annual Report category. The Communicator
Awards is an international awards competition founded by communication
professionals to recognize excellence in the communication field. The
Award of Distinction is presented for projects that exceed industry
standards for quality and excellence.
- Finalist for the PRWeek
Boutique Agency of the Year Award - PRWeek,
the premier publication offering nationwide coverage of the
communications industry, recognized Morrissey & Company as a finalist
for the Boutique Agency of the Year Award. Applicants were judged by
a
panel of 75 industry and non-industry experts, including management
consultants, journalists, business school professors, analysts, lawyers
and advertising and branding gurus. The category is open to any PR
agency with current annual public relations income (fees and plus
mark-up on disbursements) of up to $2,000,000. Judges also look for
evidence of financial growth, client list growth, client retention,
PR
innovations and creativity. Details of HR program and staff initiatives
are also considered.
